201 Wheel Throwing – Cylinder Form
In this course, you learn to produce, shape and trim cylinder forms on the potter’s wheel and apply glazes (colours) to your own creation.
Cylinder form is one of the two basic forms in pottery making.
Cylinder form refers to the base of the piece which is flat.
In this course, you will learn to:
- make cylinder forms (e.g. cups);
- shape cylinder forms;
- trim cylinder forms;
- use 1 glazing technique to glaze
- take home up to 15 pieces of self-made pottery.
Prerequisite
No prerequisite. Compulsory for all wheel throwing beginner students.
